Swedish and deep tissue

Therapeutic massage in Colorado Springs

Swedish and deep tissue blended to what your body needs that day, with the pressure set to you.

What it is

Two techniques, one hour that fits you.

Swedish massage uses long, flowing strokes and kneading to warm the muscles and settle you down. It is the classic full-body massage.

Deep tissue is slower and firmer. It works into the deeper layers of muscle around the places you carry the most tension: shoulders, neck, lower back.

You don't have to pick one. Mikayla starts with Swedish work to warm things up, then spends longer, deeper time on the spots that need it, with some gentle stretching where it helps. Tell her what you want more of.

Pressure

You set it. You can change it any time.

Not sure what to ask for? Slide through the levels. Most people start at medium and adjust once they're on the table.

Enough pressure to feel the muscle soften under the hands, still relaxing all the way through. Where most people settle.

60 or 90 minutes

How long should you book?

60 minutes · $100

A full-body massage with a little extra time on one or two tight areas. The right choice for a first visit or regular upkeep.

90 minutes · $140

The same full-body massage with time to work slowly on several areas, or to stay longer on one that keeps coming back.

How the session runs

From booking to back out the door.

  1. Before

    A short intake form

After you book, a form arrives by email: what brings you in, areas to focus on or avoid, anything Mikayla should know.

  2. First minutes

    A quick talk

Mikayla goes over your form with you and asks how much pressure you like. Then she steps out while you get on the table.

  3. The massage

    Covered and comfortable

You are covered by a sheet the whole time. Only the area being worked on is uncovered. Speak up about pressure, warmth or music at any point.

  4. After

    Take your time

She steps out again so you can get up slowly and dress. Drink some water before you head back out.

Questions

About therapeutic massage.

More answers: your visit · FAQ

Will deep tissue hurt?

It should feel like strong pressure, not pain. If anything feels sharp or too much, say so and Mikayla eases off straight away.

Do I have to choose between Swedish and deep tissue?

No. Therapeutic massage blends both: Swedish strokes to warm and relax the muscles, deeper work where you need it. Tell her what you want more of.

Can I ask her to skip an area?

Yes. Put it on your intake form or mention it at the start, and that area is left alone.
